Neath has been named one of the top ten cheapest places to buy property in the UK, following research by Halifax.
In an analysis of price by square metre in 331 British towns, the bank found that Neath was the eighth cheapest place to buy property, at £1,022 per sqm.
Aberdare
topped the list at just £910 per square metre, joined by Merthyr in
third place at £967. Scottish town Wishaw came in second place at £926.
The rest of the list is made up with three other Scottish towns -
Airdrie, Greenock and Coatbridge - along with Accrington and Blackpool
in Lancashire and Scunthorpe, Yorkshire.
